Twenty-Sixth Annual Edition. 8vo., Maroon cloth covers lettered in gold and Stamped: Compliments of National and American Leagues of Baseball with Hal Schumacher's name in caps at he center of the front cover in gilt. -- Little of the gilt worn off to the title on the front cover. Very minor edgewear to the extremities. A couple tiny ink spots to both sides of the spine. -- Overall a clean, tight, sound copy. Very good +. Item #9721

Major League Baseball Player. Nicknamed "Prince Hal" during his career, he played Major League Baseball as a pitcher for thirteen seasons (1931 to 1942, 1946) with the New York Giants. He was selected to National League All-Star teams (1933 and 1935), played in three World Series (1933 against the Washington Senators, 1936 and 1937 both against the New York Yankees) and won 23 games in 1934. His career record was 158 wins, 121 losses, 906 strikeouts, and a career 3.36 earned run average.
