Hardcover. 8vo., 304 pages, Front end-paper loose. front end-paper has former owners name, dated 1876 (hard to read the name), covers soiled front and rear, binding with pulled signatures, first few pages to beginning of the text are soiled near the bottom and along the fore-edges, the rest of the pages mostly clean and without soiling, page 54 has a closed tear near bottom of the page going almost across the entire page. Front joint separated from the cover. -- Some blank pages (interleaved) provided for written recipes are filled in, some still blank. -- 5 pages advertisements at rear (the 5th page being the rear pastedown). Pages 208-304, German recipes. -- Not a very pretty volume, but appears to be complete. Most likely quite rare. Fair. Item #9448
