"Marianne Kaltenbach (born Marianne Rothen; born June 6, 1921 in Zurich; October 15, 2005 in Lucerne) was a Swiss cookbook author and gastronomy journalist. Marianne Kaltenbach graduated from commercial school and druggist school before she started cooking. Since 1965 she has published over fifty cookbooks and numerous articles in gastronomic magazines. As a cookbook author, she has received many awards, including the Golden Pen of the German Gastronomic Academy in 1986 for her book "My Fish Kitchen" (Hallwag Verlag, Ostfildern). In 1993 she received the Grand Prix of the Académie Suisse des Gastronomes, in 1995 the Grand Prix of the Académie Internationale des Gourmets et des Traditions Gastronomiques . In 2000 she was also honored with the Art and Culture Prize of the City of Lucerne for her life's work"-wikipedia.
