"The stories of Benigna's life, contained herein, are fairly accurate and as they happened. However the names have been changed to protect the innocent--none of whom are still alive to object whether I reveal their identity, which I now do to help the reader. -- On the back cover are copies of family group sheets showing the correct names. -- On the first free endpaper pasted on is a list of names referred to in the book and the real names of those persons (see family group sheet in back of book). -- Family group records pasted on back lining paper indicate Benigna Packwood (1863-1948) was a daughter of William Henderson Packwood and Mary Tindall, born in San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California. Benigna married four times: (1) Frank Elmer Terrill; (2) Willie Corrick; (3) Mr. Pedigrew; and (4) W.A. Swanson. She had four children by her first husband, one child by her second husband, one by her third husband, and none by her fourth husband. In all, she had two sons and four daughters.
